Questions to ask yourself before any tree work is undertaken

Are they certified arborists?

Our team at TH Tree Surgery have all been formally trained and hold all relevant city and guild NPTC qualifications.

Is a permit or permission required?

Some trees are protected by a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) or can fall within a conservation area. Also they may be subject to a planning condition.

If the tree falls under any of the above, a notification of tree works is required by the District Council before any work is undertaken. We have dealt with many applications over the years and have built up a good rapport with various councils.

What happens to all materials after the work has been carried out?

We hold a waste carriers license to remove green waste from the site. The timber is then processed into firewood and smaller branches into woodchip which can be used as a mulch for gardens and boarders.
